Needle Roller Bearings

Needle Roller Bearings

When a spherical plain bearing just won't do, grab a needle roller bearing from our collection! With a greater surface area compared to other bearing options, needle roller bearings can handle greater loads. And you aren't having to sacrifice clearance for that either. They're a typically thin bearing that only requires minimal clearance room between axles and the surrounding structure.

There's practically a needle roller bearing for every application in our range. From drawn-cup to solid, cam and roller followers, right through to cage and roller assemblies, and thrust rollers, there's plenty to choose from. With so many options, you can get a wide range of load direction support. Not to mention, our needle roller bearings have been designed with strong resistance to wear and stress peaks in mind. This means you get a longer useful life from your bearing, along with less maintenance needed along the way.

Depending on the task at hand and what type of needle roller bearing you choose, there's a host of great benefits you can enjoy. For instance, you can get a highly precise bearing for use in compact spaces. You can also get smooth and accurate movement to keep everything moving along, even when working with those higher load capacities and high limiting speeds.

Why Australian Industries Choose ReFast?

At Refast, we endeavour to provide you with a quality selection of engineering parts, tools and more. From bushes and bearings right through to workshop essentials, we source top-tier products from across the world and from leading manufacturers. This ensures that you have a massive range of quality needle roller bearings for sale to choose from and can find the perfect fit for your work and industry.

Needle Roller Bearings for Compact, High-Load Applications

Needle roller bearings are designed for applications where installation space is limited but high load capacity is required. Their long, thin cylindrical rollers provide a larger contact surface than conventional ball bearings, allowing them to support heavy radial loads while maintaining a compact design.

At ReFast, we stock an extensive range of needle roller bearings for sale, including drawn-cup needle roller bearings, machined needle roller bearings, needle roller and cage assemblies, combined needle roller bearings, thrust needle roller bearings, track rollers, and support rollers. These products are commonly used in gearboxes, transmissions, pumps, compressors, agricultural machinery, automotive components, material-handling equipment, and industrial manufacturing systems.

Our collection goes beyond needle roller bearings. In fact, we have just about every bearing you could need for any application, big or small. Needing to manage misalignment? Try our self-aligning bearings. Our rod end bearings could be just the thing too. However, if you're looking for a solid all-rounder designed for low noise and vibration while handling high rotational speeds, pick up a deep-groove ball bearing instead. And you'll find all these bearing types and more at ReFast for your convenience.

FAQS

What are needle roller bearings used for?

Needle roller bearings are commonly used in applications where installation space is limited, but high radial load capacity is required. They are widely found in automotive transmissions, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, agricultural machinery and industrial equipment.

What is the advantage of needle roller bearings?

The main advantage of needle roller bearings is their compact design. Their thin rollers allow them to carry heavy radial loads while occupying significantly less space than many conventional bearing types, making them ideal for compact machinery and equipment.

Do needle roller bearings require an inner ring?

Not always. Some needle roller bearings are designed to run directly on a hardened shaft, while others include or require a separate inner ring. The correct option depends on shaft hardness, operating conditions and the specific application.

What is the difference between drawn cup and machined needle roller bearings?

Drawn cup needle roller bearings feature a lightweight pressed steel outer ring, making them suitable for compact applications. Machined needle roller bearings have a solid outer ring that provides greater rigidity and is typically used in heavier-duty industrial applications.

Where are needle roller thrust bearings used?

Needle roller thrust bearings are designed to support axial loads and are commonly used in automotive transmissions, machine tools, gearboxes, and industrial equipment where compact thrust-bearing solutions are required.

How do I choose the correct needle roller bearing?

Choosing the right needle roller bearing depends on factors such as shaft diameter, housing dimensions, load capacity, operating speed, lubrication requirements and available installation space. The ReFast team can help you select the most suitable bearing for your application.
